Guys:

It sounds like the Brick wants us to do another outing with them this year. There is no time or date set yet, that I know of. From what I know they want to do it in approx 2-3 weeks.

Wondering how many poeple would be interested in this. We had a pretty good turn out last time, though the weekend it was planned did not bring a lot of poeple around.

Keep in mind that the more poeple come out to help set up, and rig out help things go much better. Not to mention the variety of toys brought to the event does intrigue poeple.

Let us know if you are interested!! More details to follow as it comes in to us.

Thanks.

(PS-anyone with planes should ccome as well to show them off. even though we cannot fly them (big ones), it may drum up more interest.)

Yes, we can have the Memberships at the track. We will need to discuss what we are going to charge this year.

Troy is right, If no one is going to commit to coming out, we need to know. As I said earlier, we had a good turn out last year, but the really hot weather limited poeple from coming out.

I was thinking last night, and after talking to Troy, I will be bringing all of my planes out if we have the event this year. Maybe do a swap meet as well for the day? I have a few things I could sell, and maybe draw some out of town attendence as well?

I'm in as long as it is on my days off. I can bring my planes but I only have 1 nitro buggy to drive on the track. Sold the rest because I never drove them. A swap meet is a great idea. I have a lot of spare parts that aren't needed.

Swapmeet sounds like fun..................I'm been meaning to clear out some junk. Is there going to be some advertising for the Membership Drive/RC Demo/Swapmeet.........Maybe plaster some of the more popular forums with info as well. But I think I have to work on the day of the event :( But may be able to pop out later in the day :D There should also be a Rock Pile for our slower members

When you find out when this is going to happen I might be able to convince some guys from Lethbridge to come up for the day.
This would be a good way to promote both clubs. Maybe get some race dates between our clubs. I could try to get Medicine Hat club to come too.

I talked to the Brick today, and they have set the date for May 14th. Same deal as previous years.

We really need to know how many poeple are going to come out for this, and who can help with the setup and tear down. If you could let us know, it would be appreciated.

If we have enough poeple coming out for it, we can organize the usuall track and displays. Please include your cars, aircraft, watercraft if you have it.

The idea of having a swapmeet is acceptable to most by the sounds of it. If you are a member of any other RC forums, or in contact with other groups / clubs, please let them know about this weekend and the swapmeet.

Planning for this of course hinges on poeple being there to participate and help out. Please try to make it out for either.

Thanks all, Enjoy the long weekend.
