spring has sprung, the gate is hung, and now we need some paint, and wood, and pipe, and a whole bunch of other stuff. beyond the tracks, there are many areas that need attention and a bit of a refresh. the pit tables, drivers stand, and a few other things could really do with some paint. the stairs need rails, but we should have better stairs to put rails on. so, we need a list, fairly specific, so post what we need and why and i'll add it to this post, to keep it tidy and in one place.

Well, Here is my list, as I see it. (no specific order)

Garbage and junk has to be picked up around the track, and building supplies need to be moved to proper areas.
1/10th scale track needs to be moved
lay tile in sand drags and fill with sand.
make man entries at drivers stand, and up from stand to cross into field (parking)
put in posts for track sign, so that we can start locking the gate.
Groom track and fix imperfections in jumps / woops.
need wood for table top side, and edging around track.
need posts for man gates and bracing.

Oh Yes, and we need a rock crawling track......

ok, what size posts?, how many? 4 3/4" ply for table?, we need specifics, and if you wanna play in the mud, we can build the crawler track this weekend.

I think we need 12 posts all together.

1/2" pressure treated plywood for the edging of the track, approx 12 sheets

I think we have the posts for the sign at the gate around the track.

for the side of the table top to separate the chicane from the jump, we need 3/4" pressure treated, 2 sheets if I remember correctly.

that was then, we extended it, it'll prob need 3. also, something to anchor the wood to so the dirt doesn't push it over. we have some posts for the signs, but we are also thinking of expanding the pit tables, and they need them posts too. a sun/wind/rain shelter for the driver's stand would be sweet, but maybe a bit much for this year. paint - do we want white, or some "official" club colors? how much would we need for the stand and pit tables? should we fix and recoat the picnic tables?

I would say white just for ease.

There are some tables there that are maybe unsafe, and will need to be worked on. Some of the wood is rotten, but if we are only using them for workbenches, well I don't know. Would hate for them to be covered in fuel and grease after having new wood applied.

Maybe we should go through them and fix where we can, and decide on which are "picnic" tables, and which are "pit" tables.

The wind shelter would not be bad, as we do have the rough cut lumber in the corner, unless we are using that somewhere else.

the rough cut was for extending the pit tables along the west fence. white is ok with me, but i think the good picnic tables should get a fresh coat so it's obvious not to wrench on them.

good point, eating tables are white, and leave the "Pit" tables.
